Greetings! My name is Will, and I’m grateful you’re here.
Artist Statement:
My goal is to make the viewer smile and evoke a shared nostalgia. I tap into my personal passion for landscapes and animals to capture the memory of witnessing ephemeral moments in nature. My painting style reflects my eagerness for a more vibrant and positive world. I enhance rich, naturally occurring colors to make my subjects look real, yet otherworldly. Take the blue behind a brown trout’s eye, but electrify it. I hope it sparks youthful wonder and imagination.
Biography:
I grew up in Virginia Beach spending my childhood in the sun. The day after graduating from the University of Virginia School of Architecture, I moved west to experience the beauty and serenity of Wyoming and have lived and worked in Jackson ever since.
What began as a cheaper alternative to family Christmas presents, evolved into a series of paintings, murals, shirt designs, signage, and collaborations with local businesses like Teton Gravity Research, Powwater, and Sego. I work mostly in acrylics, watercolor, pen, and digital formats. My work often includes wildlife and mountains, and adopts ranging impressionist styles.
I have always believed in the power of art to transform lives and serve a community purpose.
I am proud that my painted Adirondack chairs have raised over $13,000 for local fundraisers, including one chair that collected over $10,000 in support of the Sage Living senior community in Jackson . I love teaching youth art classes and lacrosse as well.
When not in the mountains or enjoying live music, you can find me petting all passing dogs or playing guitar on the back porch.
